MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Defining, coordinating and monitoring the medical activities under his/her responsibility, according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients and their communities as well as to improve the health condition of the target population
• Ensure the implementation of MSF clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols related to gynecology, obstetrics and neonatal care in order to minimize clinical risk and to extend best practices. Ensure their comprehension by the medical and paramedical teams
• Providing technical support and developing the skills of the medical and paramedical team
• Managing the medical team under his/her supervision: General Surgeons, Gynecologists, Anesthetic Doctors, Maternity Female Medical Officer, NBU Pediatrician Supervisor
• Planning and supervising, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to improve staff capabilities and to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required
• Coordinating and monitoring the daily working plan of the team under his/her responsibility (absent personnel, vacations, tracking leaves ...). Participating in shifts and replaces a doctor, if necessary
• Ensure good communication flow within the team and with the other hospital departments (administration, logistic, outreach, pharmacy, laboratory, head nurse, nursing and paramedical teams, expatriate technical   referents etc.)
• Participate in mortality meetings, medical and project strategy meetings
• Coordinate trainings for permanent staff in gynecology & obstetric field and support the NBU Pediatrician for neonatal field
• Produce monthly activity report and data analysis
