Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsibilities will include ensuring optimal operation of solvent extraction plants and managing the parameters of Quality, Process and Productivity independently. Must be able to plan and execute measures to optimize capacity utilization of plants, administer quality controls, plant safety and optimize production costs in terms of process losses, utility costs, maintenance and manpower. Ideal candidate will have an experience of a minimum of 5 years in managing solvent extraction plants specially Myande and Desmet.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maximize productivity maintaining quality standards

• Optimize production cost by chemical and utilities savings.

• Indenting from stores as per the shift requirement

• Adherence to Safety, environment, Hygiene and Maintenance Procedures,

• Implementing & Validating the SOP

• Manpower handling in the division

• Maintaining 5S Standards& Safety standards

• Day to day stock of feed and oil, utilities consumption,

• Planning of preventive maintenance, spare stock maintenance, maintenance of records

,• Daily submission of Input and output material specification record, yield calculation, maintaining critical operating parameters,

Continual improvement by analysis of data

• Provides daily process control, SIS (safety instrumented system), and ESD (emergency shutdown system) supports to the plant to keep the plant systems operational.

• Scheduling Preventive Maintenance (Electrical and Mechanical) team for daily maintenance activities

• Coordinate for supply of crude oil to Refinery

• Assures all planning, scheduling and managing all process control engineering activities, emergency shutdown system (ESD) and safety instrumented system (SIS) activities, and safety integrity level (SIL) activities related to plant facilities are coordinated and performed safely and efficiently.

• Leads resolution of any alarm flooding, management, and rationalization issues.

Work experience requirement

5-10 years of experience in Edible Oil Extraction Plant-Handling Crude Oil & Meal

Qualification

A) Graduate with Science – 5 years’ experience OR B) Matric with Science – 10 years’ experience
