Job Description:

Job Purpose:

Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for managing all inventory control related activities. Execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system and paperwork accuracy.
The role carries responsibility for working with purchasing, goods inwards and dispatch to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly.
The job role may include other reasonable duties/tasks from time to time.

Job Description:

  1. Develop the companys inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximizing available working capital.
  2. Manage and maintain the companys material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.
  3. Manage and control perpetual inventory stock taking / inventory accuracy checks.
  4. Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant products to maximize availability of working capital.
  5. Develop, review and communicate procedures for inventory management and inventory control policies and procedures and recommend changes when appropriate.
  6. Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
  7. Ensure materials are ready and available for delivery to required station as and when required.
  8. Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up sales for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received.
  9. Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimise costs and maximize working capital.
  10. Generates Slow Moving and Obsolete Goods report.
  11. Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
  12. Manage and reports control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
  13. Monitors and reports slots for damaged product.
  14. Provide overstock and short date reports for sales and senior management.
  15. Prepare periodic Inventory reports (like variance, quantity, type and value of materials, and equipment and stock on hand).
  16. Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the inventory management operations.
  17. Perform day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork.
  18. Mentor inventory management staff.
