We are looking for Senior Accountants for our company's freight forwarding/logistics and software development divisions.
Minimum 5 years of post qualification experience at a mid-large size logistics or an IT company.
Thorough understanding of either tranport, freight forwarding, custom clearing procedures or software development processes and life cycle.
Well-versed with most known accouting softwares like Peachtree, Quickbooks etc.
Be capable of planning, developing and implmenting an accounting systems from the scratch.
Strong knowledge of Income/Sales Tax Rules, Corporate Governance, Internal Control Systems and PPRA rules.
Fully capable of developing and executing an internal audit plan and to prepare and present aucdit reports.
Strong command over daily cash flows.
Capable of preparing and finalizing financial statement, Annual Audit, Filing of periodioc Income/Sales Tax returns.
Corporate Matters regarding submission & verification of Form-A & Form 29.
Calculation / Checking & provisions of markup on Bank Loans
Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
Prepare and post all accounting entries along with journal entries using the Peachtree software.
Prepare and maintain vendors and customers ledgers.
Carry out physical inventory counts on a regular basis.
Fund Flow on daily basis along with stock movement report.
Prepare and record receipt and payment vouchers.
Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
Prepare reports detailing monthly expenses.
Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
Prepare statutory accounts on a monthly basis.
Ad Hoc Analysis as needed.
Recovery from customers and keep a monitor on the credit time period given and payments received.
Prepare a monthly recovery report.
Correspond with other corporate departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
Cheaques and Cash Bank Deposits and Withdrawals.
Budgeting and Controlling.
Payrolls and Salaries Vouchers. Approval of Salary Sheets and its accrual along with advances to staff.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
