| Job Description: |
We are looking to hire Network/Systems Support Trainee potentially leading to Full-Time Employment after 3 months of paid training for our Karachi Office. The candidate will be assisting the existing IT team to ensure the computer network performance meets company and office users satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the IT team to troubleshoot systems and network issues.
- Provide user support to troubleshoot related network and system issues.
- Manages the daily activities of local network systems (LAN, Wireless, Network Devices).
- Assists in installation, administration, and testing of network servers, operating systems, software, hubs, routers, switches, cabling, and other related network components/equipment under the guidance of the IT/Network Team in accordance with published standards.
- Assists the IT team in developing, monitoring, and implementing network security procedures for safeguarding all networking systems.
- Maintains records of work completed and in-progress; and updates network documentation to record installations, upgrades, configurations, etc.
- Manages network management programs and assists the IT/Network Team in preparing network status reports.
- Providing end-user support on a routine basis.
Job Qualification & Specifications:
- Up to 1 year experience of working in IT/Networks department.
Must have Knowledge of the following:
- Windows Operating Systems
- Network cabling standards and able to make network cables when required
- Keen interest in Computer hardware, operating system and networks.
- Must have troubleshooting skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge and experience with Linux servers
- Knowledge of VPN and VPN tunnels.
