The ideal candidate is a Senior Hardware Engineer with experience in research, design, development, and testing of electronic systems. The candidate will work in an agile team defining and creating innovative Internet-of-Things platforms, M2M products, Smart Grids and Power Electronics
Responsibilities Include:
· Research, design, development, and testing of electronic hardware and integrated mechanical components
· Analysis and feasibility studies related to the design, development, and implementation of new hardware
· Design of schematics and initial board bring-up
· Systems integration and debug
· Verification and validation of the hardware design including preparation of test protocols/reports
· Investigate and resolve hardware component issues
· Completing all of the above while collaborating with a diverse team following agile development process
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of sensors and communication protocols
· Digital/Analog circuit design in board level experience
· Experience working with board schematic and PCB layout
· Experience designing of low power, low noise electronic circuits
· Knowledge of RF circuitry design and wireless technologies
· Knowledge of power electronic circuits
· Knowledge of mechanical design software such as SolidWorks
· Circuit simulation with tools for Signal and Power Integrity and application of circuit analysis concepts experience
· Knowledge of environmental testing
· Digital logic and analog circuit implementation experience
· Technical document development experience
