Sr. Manager Software Development

Responsibilities

• Act as functional manager of a technical software development team of over 100 resources
• Ensure that appropriately trained development resources are available at all times for various projects across the enterprise
• Develop and maintain a set of software development, architectural and coding standards which can be rigorously applied across the company
• Be ultimately responsible for the quality of code being delivered by the team
• Establish and track personnel performance metrics
• Develop and measure resource competencies in verticals such as Enterprise Solutions, Big Data, Cloud, IoT, InfoSec, Blockchain, AI, Mobility, Progressive Web Apps, etc. through instructor led trainings, technology workgroups, etc.
• Provide leadership, mentor, build and manage high performance technical teams that are self-sufficient and self-organized
• Participate in cross-functional, cross-project coordination, architecture discussions, development reviews and technology workgroups
• Ensuring teams have clear priorities and adequate resources, empowering developers to self-organize and make informed decisions

Technical Background

• 14 years of professional full-stack .NET Software development experience
• Strong programming experience in full stack web application development with relational and non-relational data stores
• Ability to articulate the technical and organizational trade-offs when planning and making decisions.
• Experience managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams
• Strong communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with staff, other products teams, senior management, and customers
• Motivational leader with passionate and enthusiastic personality
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building

Educational Background

• Bachelors, Masters or preferably a Doctorate degree in Computer Science
