| Job Description: |
We are seeking a technically sound and operationally strong Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our layer cage farms. This role demands hands-on leadership in flock management, health protocols, production monitoring, team supervision, and compliance with biosecurity and welfare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of layer cage sheds (flock > 60,000 birds)
- Monitor and optimize HDEP%, feed intake, egg weight, FCR
- Implement and supervise vaccination schedules, disease control programs
- Lead mortality analysis, post-mortems, and health reporting
- Ensure biosecurity protocols across all areas (people, equipment, ventilation)
- Manage farm staff scheduling, training, and performance
- Coordinate with nutrition, procurement, and veterinary teams
- Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs
- Maintain ERP/excel-based record systems and production dashboards
- Supervise egg collection, grading, and dispatch logistics
