We are seeking a Research Associate with experience in B2B chemical markets to support global sourcing and lead generation for our clients. You will be responsible for identifying and mapping chemical suppliers and potential clients for manufacturing firms, using a combination of web research, industry directories, and tools like LinkedIn, company websites, and trade databases.

This role is critical in helping our business development and sales teams engage with the right partners across the chemical supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct targeted research to identify chemical suppliers across various product categories and regions.

• Source and qualify potential buyers/clients for chemical manufacturing firms.

• Create and maintain structured databases and reports with verified contact and company information.

• Analyze product ranges, production capacities, certifications, and distribution capabilities of suppliers.

• Use tools like LinkedIn, company registries, Chemondis, Alibaba, Kompass, or similar platforms to extract actionable data.

• Collaborate closely with client-facing teams to ensure research aligns with project goals and market needs.

• Track research tasks, maintain documentation, and ensure data accuracy.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in data research, lead generation, market mapping, or sourcing with international clients/firms.

• Strong understanding of the chemical industry supply chain is a plus.

• Proficiency in using research tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google Advanced Search, and B2B directories.

• Excellent skills in Excel/Google Sheets and data management.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.

• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.

• Must be available during Central European Time (CET) working hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with chemical marketplaces such as CheMondis, ICIS, or other trade platforms.

• Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce.

• Exposure to sales, sourcing, or procurement-related projects in the B2B sector.
